Hello, brothers and sisters. My name is Eric Fan, and I am 14 years old. I used to go to church with my grandma since I was 5 years old. During that time, I didn’t really know much about Jesus. Even though I always believed in Jesus, because I grew up with Christian people around me, I was not interested to learn more about God. During the pandemic, I didn’t go to church, which led to me getting further and further away from God.

The first time I ever came to ACCC in early 2024, I still didn’t enjoy going to church because I didn’t have friends there. Every Sunday, my parents pushed me to go to Sunday service. Now, going to church is no longer hard. Slowly, I started going to church more and making more friends. I enjoyed the Sunday service, the fellowships and learning more about Jesus.

Since I came to the youth fellowship, Pastor John helped and encouraged me, and I became more interested in bible stories. I started reading the bible and praying with my family every day. This is when I really started to know more about Jesus. I am now full of curiosity about God’s word, I want to read and learn more bible stories in the future.

When I attended the Spring retreat held by the church, I felt the love of all the leaders who led the retreat( Pastor John, Lynn, Sherry and Kat). I really appreciated all the people who brought me closer to God. I felt God’s love for us. I enjoyed playing worship songs on the cajon drum at the retreat, which led me to join the worship team.

I know that the road ahead is confusing, full of challenges and difficulties. I believe that everything in my life is in God’s hands. I decided to follow Jesus and attend services as much as I can. I hope to have God’s presence every day in the future.
